Our office is tucked away in Gali number 17 over in the Madangir DDA flats. If you haven't been to this part of New Delhi, it can be a bit of a maze with all the similar-looking buildings and narrow lanes. We’ve been here at 464/17 for some time now, and the neighbors all know us. It’s not like those shiny offices in Gurgaon or South Delhi. We have desks, some old computers, and a lot of files that seem to grow every month. The morning starts with someone unlocking the main gate and putting the fan on high because it gets stuffy in these flats. We handle a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. You can hear the kids playing outside in the common areas and the vegetable sellers shouting their prices. It’s a lively place, maybe a bit too noisy sometimes when we are trying to focus. We usually get our tea from the small stall at the corner of the block. It’s better than anything we could make in the office. People come in and out, mostly for business stuff, and we just try to keep things organized. There’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap in the small bathroom or a flickering light. It’s just a regular workplace where we put in our hours and go home. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done.
