Stephenson Walter

This house is number 80 in Kirlokari, right near Maharani Bagh in New Delhi. It is an old neighborhood, and the lanes are pretty narrow. If you are driving a big car, you might have trouble getting through sometimes. I’ve been running things for Stephenson Walter from this location for a long time. The house is a bit old, with some peeling paint and creaky doors, but it works for what we do. We have a small office set up on the ground floor. It’s usually filled with boxes and files. There is always the sound of traffic from the main road nearby, but you get used to it after a while. I have a couple of people who help me out with the daily load. We aren't a big corporation; we are just a small group of people working out of a residential house. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the paperwork. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s real. Delhi is a tough city, but being here in Kirlokari feels like home. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decorations because it doesn't really matter. As long as the work gets done, we are happy. We just take it one day at a time and do our best.
