Rahul Chaudhary

Life in Shivalik Hostel is pretty much what you’d expect from a place at IIT Delhi. It’s small, a bit cramped, and there’s always something going on in the hallway. I’m in NC 4, which has become my base of operations for everything I’m doing under the name Rahul Chaudhary. Hauz Khas is a great area, though I mostly see the inside of this room and the mess on my desk. There are books everywhere and way too many charging cables tangling up on the floor. It’s not exactly a professional office, but it gets the job done for now. The canteen food is okay, but I usually just grab a quick snack so I can keep working on whatever project is currently stuck. The noise from the other students can be a distraction, but you eventually just learn to tune it out. I started this because I had some ideas I wanted to test out without having to wait for someone else’s permission. It’s been a lot of late nights and early mornings. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't just find a regular job, but then I get into a rhythm and it feels right. The walls are a bit thin, and the furniture is old, but it’s home for the moment. New Delhi is fast, and being in the middle of it all at 110016 keeps me on my toes.
