Nehru Place is a whirlwind, and we are right in the thick of it at Hemkunt Chambers, room 107. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets with people looking for electronics and all sorts of services. Portfolio Sourcing India operates from this small office. We spend our days mostly on the computer and the phone. Our work is all about sourcing and finding the right connections for our clients. It’s a lot of searching and double-checking details. The office is often full of papers and samples from different vendors. We don't have a lot of space for anything extra, so every corner is used for something. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and the crowds, but once you’re inside, we just focus on the task at hand. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break. We’re a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. There’s no strict hierarchy here; if something needs to be filed or a package needs to be sent, whoever is free just does it. It’s a practical way to run things in such a fast-paced area. We’ve been here for a while and we’ve seen plenty of other businesses come and go, but we just keep doing our thing, day after day. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the view of the city lights from the window is actually quite nice. It’s just work, but we do it well.
