Meena Bazaar

Our shop is tucked away in Safdarjung Enclave at A - 1/115. It’s a familiar spot for folks around here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first opened the doors. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes finding the right block, but we’re here. Mostly, we deal with traditional clothes, sarees and such. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We spend most of our days folding fabric and talking to customers who come in looking for something for a wedding or just a nice gift. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but it works for seeing the colors of the silk. We don't have a big fancy team, just a few of us who know the stock well. Sometimes it gets crowded on weekends and it’s hard to move around the counters. We try to keep things simple. No big speeches about what we do, we just sell clothes. The street outside can get pretty packed with cars, so parking is always a bit of a gamble. We’ve had the same regulars for years, people who remember when we were even smaller. It’s just a local business trying to do things right in South Delhi. If you walk past, you'll see the mannequins in the window. Nothing too flashy, just what we have. We like it that way. We spend time making sure the shelves aren't too messy, though it's a constant battle with all the fabric we have.
