Kangra Saree Emporium

Kangra Saree Emporium is located on Ratia Marg in Sangam Vihar. We have been selling sarees to the local ladies for a good while. The shop is filled with different fabrics and colors. You can find silk, cotton, and synthetic ones piled up on the shelves. It’s a bit of a tight space when it gets crowded on the weekends. We don't have fancy lights or a big showroom feel. It’s more about the cloth and the patterns. Customers come in and spend a long time looking through the stacks. We show them one after another until they find something they like for a wedding or a festival. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy but they keep the place cool enough. We know most of the families in the area. It’s a simple business. We get new stock every few weeks and try to keep up with what people are wearing these days. My hands are usually busy folding and unfolding the long pieces of cloth. We don't do much marketing, just the sign out front and the word of mouth from neighbors. People trust us because we’ve been here in Sangam Vihar for so long. It’s just a regular shop where we try to have enough variety for everyone who walks in. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and vendors, but inside we just focus on the fabric.
