Shweta Anand Chadha

I work out of F 13 in Jangpura Extension, specifically on the first floor. It is a residential area, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads. My desk is usually covered in papers and folders. I have lived and worked in this part of Delhi for a while. The first floor gets a bit of a breeze if the windows are open, which is nice in the spring. I usually start my day early with a cup of coffee and try to get through my emails before the phone starts. People come by for meetings and we sit in the small area near the window. It is not a corporate office with a receptionist. It is just me and sometimes an assistant helping with the filing. Jangpura has a certain feel to it, with the old trees and the way the sunlight hits the brickwork in the afternoon. Sometimes the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying heavy books. I like being here because it feels more like a home than a sterile workspace. The neighbors are friendly and we see the same people walking their dogs every evening. It is a steady way of living and working. I don't have fancy signs outside. People usually find the address because they know the area or have been told where to look.
