Asian Wear

We are located on the second floor at F/208 in Lado Saria, right off M G Road. Being up on the second floor means we get a little bit away from the street noise, but you can still hear the horns honking all day. Our space is mostly filled with rolls of fabric and half-finished garments hanging on racks. We do a lot of sewing and cutting here. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of material piled up, but we know where everything is. The light in the afternoons is pretty good for checking the colors of the thread. We’ve been in this Lado Saria spot for a bit, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. Most of the people working here are just local folks who are good with a needle and thread. We don’t have a big window display since we are upstairs, so most people find us by word of mouth or by looking for the sign on M G Road. It’s not a fancy boutique with air conditioning that works all the time. It’s a working tailor shop where we get stuff made and ready for people to wear. Sometimes the stairs are a pain when we have to carry heavy loads up, but it’s just part of the job. We just try to keep the sewing machines running and the orders moving. It’s a lot of work but we enjoy seeing the finished clothes.
