Kanishka Communications & Engg. Services is tucked away in G Block of Aaya Nagar. We’re over at G-410, Phase-6, which is right off Band Road. It's a bit of a trek to get here if the traffic is bad, but we like the spot. Our office handles communication and engineering stuff, mostly technical bits that people don't think about until they break. The walls are a plain color and we have shelves full of cables and old manuals that we should probably sort through. Every morning starts with someone complaining about the parking outside. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure everything runs. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; you usually just walk in and find someone working on a computer or holding a multimeter. The Band Road area is always humming with activity, which keeps things interesting. We’ve been here long enough that the local chai guy knows our order. It gets pretty warm in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. There’s always a pile of paperwork on the main desk that needs filing. We do our best to stay organized, but work comes in fast. It’s a practical environment for engineering work. We don't spend much on decor because the gear takes up all the space anyway. It’s just how we operate. If the bell doesn't work, just knock hard on the metal door and someone will eventually hear you. We usually leave some biscuit packets on the counter for anyone who stops by.
