We’re up in unit 426 of DLF Tower-A in Jasola. Hindustan Tin Works Ltd has been around for quite a while, though this office setup feels different from the factories where the actual tin making happens. Jasola is a busy commercial hub, so there’s always a lot of people moving around the elevators and the lobby. Our office isn't overly decorated; it’s mostly just desks, computers, and samples of the cans and containers we handle. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around, but we make it work. You can see a bit of the city from the windows, which is nice when the weather is clear. We aren't trying to be some trendy tech startup. We’re a tin company. Most of the staff has been in the packaging industry for decades. We drink a lot of tea and talk about supply chains and metal prices. Sometimes the printer jams or the AC is too cold, typical office stuff. It’s a professional enough environment but we don't stand on ceremony. If you walk in, you’ll just see people working and maybe some empty tea cups on the tables. We stay focused on the orders and making sure the factory schedules align with what the customers need. It's a steady rhythm here in Tower-A. We finish up and head out before it gets too dark outside.
