Emkay Engg Works

We are located in the Okhla Industrial Area, specifically in Phase-Ii. Our workspace is one of the Dda sheds, marked as B-33. If you know this area, you know it is always humming with the sound of machinery and trucks. We do engineering work here at Emkay Engg Works, which mostly means a lot of cutting, welding, and fixing metal parts. It is a dusty environment and our hands are usually covered in grease by noon. The shed has high ceilings which is good because it gets hot in the summer months. We have a few lathes and some old drills that have been with us since we started. There is no real office to speak of, just a small corner with a table where we keep the blueprints and some spare tools. Most of the guys have been working here for years and we all know the routine. We start early when the air is still a bit cool. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial area, so we just take a break and sit outside until it comes back on. It is not a glamorous place but it is where the work gets done. We don't do any big advertising or anything. Most of our jobs come from people who have been bringing their parts to us for a long time. The floor is concrete and stained with oil, and that is just fine for the kind of stuff we do every day. We usually keep the big front door open.
