Continental Engineering Corporation

Our office for Continental Engineering Corporation is at R-17, on the first floor to the left, in Khirki Extension. It’s right there in the Malviya Nagar area of New Delhi. It’s one of those parts of the city that’s a bit of a maze, but we’ve made a home for our engineering work here. The office is a straightforward space. We didn't spend money on interior designers or fancy lighting. We just have what we need to get the engineering work done—desks, some computers, and a lot of shelf space for files. Being on the first floor means we hear everything going on in the street, which keeps things interesting. It’s a working office, so it’s usually a bit messy with paper and coffee cups. We aren't a corporate giant with a slick image. We’re just people who show up every day and work on engineering problems. Some days are slow, and some days we’re all rushing to meet a deadline. We don't use a lot of jargon when we talk to each other. We just explain things as they are. Khirki Extension has a specific feel to it, and we like being part of that local scene. It’s not a glamorous spot, but it’s where we do our work. We just keep things simple and focus on the tasks at hand. It can get a bit loud with the neighborhood traffic, but we don't mind. We're just here to work.
