It’s an industrial area, so there is always noise from the neighboring units and the sound of trucks reversing into the narrow lanes. We handle a lot of kitchen gear here, and the workshop floor is usually covered in parts, tools, and boxes waiting to be sent out. It’s not the cleanest place, but we know where everything is. We started this because we knew our way around appliances, and it just grew from there. The summer heat in the warehouse can be brutal, especially when we’re testing the heating elements on the stoves. We usually keep the big shutter half-open to get a bit of a breeze. Our operation is straightforward. We don’t spend much on decor or office furniture because the gear takes up all the space anyway. Most of the guys have been here for years and we just get on with the job. Lunch is usually eaten quick so we can get back to the floor. There’s always another order coming in or a customer asking when their repair will be done. We just keep at it and make sure the deliveries go out to the shops. It's dusty and loud, but it's what we know how to do best every day.
