Bhaskar Rabha

We’ve been based here in Ber Sarai for a while now, tucked away near the Old JNU Campus. It is a busy place with students always walking by and the traffic can get a bit much during the afternoons. My name is Bhaskar Rabha and I handle things from this small spot in New Delhi. Most days start early with tea and trying to organize the paperwork that seems to pile up on the desk no matter how much I clean it. Kamal Pawar is who I share the space with. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. We have some old chairs and a desk that has seen better days, but it works for what we do. People often stop by asking for directions to the campus because the lanes here can be a bit confusing if you aren’t from around here. I usually just point them toward the main gate. The electricity goes out sometimes in the summer heat which slows things down, but we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is just a regular life here. We don’t have a big team or a lot of complicated systems. I just try to get the work done and keep things moving. Sometimes the neighbors come in to chat about the local news. It’s loud and dusty outside but inside we just focus on the tasks for the day.
