Batra International

Our place is located at 21 Defence Colony Market, which is usually a pretty lively spot. It’s a good area to be in, with people always walking around and the local shops doing their thing. Batra International operates out of a space here that’s seen its fair share of busy afternoons. We handle a lot of different trade stuff, mostly focusing on things coming in and out of the country. It’s not a fancy setup with a lot of bells and whistles; it’s more about the desks, the computers, and the people working at them. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with different partners and making sure the details of every transaction are correct. Sometimes the market gets really crowded, especially in the evenings, and it can be hard to find a parking spot, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, so we know the other shop owners and the people who work nearby. It feels like a community in a way. The work can be a bit repetitive with all the invoices and tracking numbers, but it’s what keeps the lights on. We just come in, do our jobs, and go home. There’s no grand philosophy behind it, just the daily effort of running a small international business from a well-known corner of Delhi. We try to be helpful when people call, and we just handle things one day at a time without too much stress.
