Asif Meat Shop

My name is Asif and I run this shop over here in SDA Market 2. Usually, the day starts pretty early when the stock comes in. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. SDA stays busy because of the college crowd and the people living nearby, so there is always someone popping in to ask what’s fresh today. It is just a small place, nothing fancy at all. We spend most of the morning just getting things ready and cleaning up. The floor gets messy sometimes but we try to keep on top of it. Some days are slower than others. On weekends, the market gets really crowded and the noise from the street comes right inside. I usually stand behind the counter while my helpers handle the heavy lifting. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just the shop front. People know where we are. It’s hard work, standing all day, but it’s what we do. Sometimes we run out of certain cuts by the afternoon, especially if it’s a holiday. We just tell the customers to come back tomorrow. I like the neighborhood even if it’s gotten a bit loud lately. It’s just us here every day, making sure the orders are filled and the knives are sharp. Not much else to say about it. It’s a meat shop, we work, and then we go home for the night.
