We are located way up on the 10th floor of the Milestone building on Delhi Mathura Road. Being in Ishwar Nagar means we see a lot of the traffic moving towards the city every morning. From our windows, the cars look like tiny toys. A. R. Magnatics is an industrial kind of company. We work with magnets and related parts, which isn’t something most people think about every day. Our office is a mix of desks and small workbenches where we can inspect the components. It’s not a silent workplace; there’s usually the sound of someone using a testing machine or the hum of the air conditioner trying to fight the Delhi heat. Since we are on the 10th floor, we rely a lot on the elevators, and sometimes one of them stops working, which makes for a long walk. We have a small team here. We spend our time checking specs and making sure the magnet sets are packed properly for the clients. It’s precise work because the measurements have to be just right. We don’t spend money on fancy lobbies or expensive furniture. We have simple chairs and metal cabinets for our files. Lunch is usually eaten together at a small table in the corner. We talk about the commute or the weather mostly. We just focus on the technical side of things and getting the shipments out on the road. It is just basic, honest work.
