Lighthouse Residency Restaurant

Lighthouse Residency Restaurant is located at 11 MG Road in Port Blair. We are right in Aberdeen Bazaar, which is pretty much the center of things here on the island. Being in Port Blair is different from being on the mainland because everything moves a bit differently. The pace is a little slower, but Aberdeen Bazaar is still where most of the activity happens. Our building on MG Road is a simple place where we have both the residency and the restaurant. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are ready and the kitchen is stocked up. Since we are in the bazaar, there’s always noise from the shops and the people walking by outside. It’s a good spot because everything you need is within walking distance. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just run the place the way it’s always been run. The salt air from the sea can be tough on the building, so there is always some maintenance or painting that needs to be done to keep things looking decent. It’s a small operation with just a few of us working here to keep the guests happy and the food coming out on time. Most days are spent dealing with the humidity and the local supply deliveries that come in by boat.
