Granary Restaurant

You can find us inside the Islanderr Inn on M A Road in Port Blair. We’re over in the Phoenix Bay area, not far from the Tamilzhar Sangam. Being in Port Blair, we get a mix of people coming through. Some are just passing through the bay area, and others live right here in town. The restaurant is a straightforward setup. We have the kitchen in the back and the dining area out front. It’s usually got a bit of a breeze coming in, which is nice because it gets hot here. We don't have any big corporate rules or fancy mission statements. We just show up, get the stoves going, and start the day. Sometimes the supply boat is late and we have to adjust, but that’s just life on an island. We try to keep the tables wiped down and the water pitchers full. It’s a regular routine. We see a lot of people who are tired from traveling and just want a quiet place to sit for an hour. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People mostly find us because they’re staying at the inn or they’re walking along Phoenix Bay. The staff is local, and we’ve all been working together for a while now. We know where everything is and how things work. It’s a practical place for a meal. We finish up late, lock the doors, and do it all again the next day.
