Madlauda is a place where we take our vegetables seriously. We started Madlauda Vegetable Farmers Producercompany Limited because we wanted to have a collective voice. You can find us at Village Madlauda, specifically at number 7. It’s not a big corporate building, just a place where we meet and talk shop. Most of us have small plots where we grow greens and other vegetables. When you're just one person selling a few crates, it's hard to get a good price. Working as a group changes that. We spend a lot of time talking about the soil and which seeds are doing well this year. It's a lot of manual labor, out in the sun, making sure the crops are watered and healthy. We aren't experts in business, but we know our vegetables. The company is just a tool for us to help each other. Sometimes we gather to share tips on how to handle pests without spending too much money. It’s a very grounded life. We’re just regular folks from the village who want to see our hard work pay off. The paperwork can be a headache sometimes, but it's worth it to keep the community going. We don’t have fancy marketing or anything like that. We just grow things and try to sell them so we can keep our farms running for another year. It is a simple life but it is what we know best.
