Our place is right at the 40 Km Stone on G. T. Karnal Road in Bahalgarh. If you've ever driven that stretch, you know how loud it gets with all the lorries zooming past day and night. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but being right on the highway makes it easier for the shipping containers to reach us. The building itself is pretty large, but it feels smaller when it's full of stock. We spend a lot of time checking paperwork and making sure things are labeled right for wherever they are going. It’s mostly export work, so there’s always a bit of stress about deadlines. The tea stall down the road is where most of us end up during the afternoon slump. We’ve been here at Bahalgarh for years. The dust from the road covers everything if we don't wipe the windows down every single morning. We have a small crew in the office and more people out in the back handling the actual heavy lifting. It’s not a glamorous job, especially when the weather gets hot and the fans just move the warm air around. But we keep at it. Most of the guys have been here since the start. We don't do much talking about goals or visions, we just make sure the trucks are loaded and gone before the evening traffic starts getting really bad on the highway. We just get the daily work done and go home.
