The Gulab Fruits & Vegetable Grovers & Marketing Cooperative Society

We are based out of Plot No. 542 in Hsiidc Rai. It’s a cooperative, so it’s a group effort with all the growers involved. The name is a bit long, The Gulab Fruits & Vegetable Grovers & Marketing Cooperative Society, but we just call it the society usually. Being in the industrial area at Rai makes it easier for trucks to get in and out with the produce. We deal with a lot of fresh stuff coming in from the fields every morning. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure things get where they need to go before they spoil. The sheds are always full of crates. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially during harvest season. We aren't a big corporation with suit-wearing executives. It’s mostly just folks who know agriculture and how the market works. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the crates. It gets pretty loud when the auctions are happening or when the loaders are busy. The office is small and usually has papers everywhere. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just focus on the fruits and vegetables. Rai is a good spot for this kind of work. We’ve been here for a bit now and know the local farmers well. It’s honest work and keeps everyone busy. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
