About American Soybean Association Asia Subcontinent – Agriculture & Farming in Sonipat
Our office is at Municipal Number-6/510, which is right near Nath Road. It is a busy spot in the city. Working for the American Soybean Association Asia Subcontinent means we spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets about beans. It sounds a bit dry, but there is always something happening. We have a lot of papers piled up on the desks and the printer usually jams at the worst time. Nath Road has a lot of traffic, so you can always hear the horns and the motorbikes outside our windows. We are just a small team here trying to keep everything organized for the wider region. Sometimes we have visitors coming in to talk about soy exports or farming techniques, and we have to scramble to find enough chairs. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. The building is an older municipal one, so the hallways are a bit narrow and the elevator is slow, but it’s our home base. We don't do much advertising. People who need us usually know where to find us. We try to keep things simple and just get through the daily tasks without too much fuss. Most of us have been working in this sector for a long time, so we know the people and the common problems. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure everyone is on the same page regarding the soy trade and how it all moves.
