Osr Kisan Producer Company Limited is based out of Bagaura in Robertganj, which is in the Sonbhadra district. We are a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It’s a lot of work to keep everyone on the same page. We mostly deal with the crops grown around here. Sonbhadra has its own challenges with the weather and the terrain, but we know it well. Our office is just a simple room in Bagaura where we store some supplies and keep our ledgers. It’s not much to look at. We spend most of our time out in the fields or at the local markets. We started this because it was getting harder to sell our stuff individually. Now we can talk to buyers as a larger group. It’s still a struggle sometimes. We have to deal with fluctuating prices and transport issues. The roads around Robertganj aren't always the best, especially during the monsoon season. We just do our best to help the members get a fair price for their hard work. There are no corporate bosses here, just us farmers trying to figure things out. We write everything down in big registers and try to keep it organized. It’s a basic way of doing things but it’s honest. We’re just regular people trying to make the most of what we have on the land.
