Hotel Kasturi Pure Veg

Hotel Kasturi Pure Veg is out on the Bypass Road in Akluj Sholapur. We are quite close to the new ST stand and Maharshi Chowk, so we get a lot of people coming off the buses looking for a meal and a bed. Since we are a pure veg place, the kitchen is always smelling like spices and lentils. I spend most of my time in the kitchen or checking on the dining tables. The hotel part is above the restaurant. The rooms are basic and we keep them simple so the price stays low for the travelers. Solapur can get very dusty, so we are always mopping the floors. The furniture is just standard stuff we got locally. Sometimes the noise from the bus stand carries over, but most people are too tired to notice. My brother handles the room bookings while I look after the food. We don't have any fancy uniforms, just our regular clothes. The building is a bit plain on the outside, but we keep it painted every few years. It’s a family-run thing, and we just try to keep everyone fed and rested. People like the fact that they can get a hot meal right where they are staying. It makes the long bus journeys a bit easier for them. We just keep going day by day, serving food and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever arrives next.
