We are over on New Barshi Road, right in Padma Nagar, where things stay pretty active most days. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular building with some space for the work we do. Most mornings start early because that is when the trucks come in and we have to get things moved around before the sun gets too hot. People around here know the spot because we’ve been here quite some time now. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty from the road traffic outside, but we don't mind it much. There are about ten of us working here daily, mostly just keeping our heads down and getting through the pile of tasks. We don't have a big sign or anything like that, just the gate and the name. My uncle used to run things but now I handle the daily paperwork and talk to the drivers. It gets noisy when the machines are running in the back, so we usually sit outside for tea when we can. The neighbors are mostly other small shops and a few houses further down the street. It is a simple life here in Padma Nagar. We just keep doing what we know how to do without making much of a fuss. If you walk past, you’ll probably hear the radio playing in the corner or someone shouting over the engine noise to be heard. It is just the way things go around this part of town.
