We've been here at Sr. No. 67/1 for a while now, right across from the Balaji Weigh Bridge. Most people know the spot because of the trucks coming and going. Dealing with steel isn't always pretty or clean, but it's what we do day in and day out. We started small, just a few of us handling orders and making sure the inventory stayed organized. It gets dusty here, especially in the afternoons when the wind picks up, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We mostly spend our time looking over the stock and talking to people who stop by for their building projects. It's noisy sometimes with the metal clanging around, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or big. It's just a yard with some stacks of steel and a small office where we keep our books. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to actually get a cup of tea. If you're looking for us, look for the weigh bridge first, then turn around. We're right there. People usually come by with their own trucks to pick things up. We try to keep things simple because adding more steps just makes everything take longer for everyone involved. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and handle the metal as it comes in and goes out.
