It’s a heavy environment, full of iron and steel. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of those corporate comforts. Most of the time, the floor is covered in dust or metal shavings, which is just part of the job. We handle ferro metals and it’s hard work that requires a bit of muscle and a lot of patience. We aren't some massive multinational company. We are a local unit with a small group of workers who know their way around a metal yard. The noise from the textile mill across the road and our own machines can get pretty loud during the day, but you get used to it after a while. We don’t spend money on marketing or polished websites. If you need metal, you just come by and see what we have. We keep our records in simple books and focus on getting the weights right for the customers. It’s an honest way to make a living. We’ve been at this for years and haven't felt the need to change how we do things. It’s just about moving metal and making sure the business keeps running.
