We are located over at Bhagwan Kakde’s place in Dhanora, which is in the Sillod area. Sakharaai Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically a group of us locals who decided that working as a single unit made more sense than everyone struggling on their own. Farming out here isn't always easy, especially when the weather doesn't go your way or the prices in the market start acting up. We spend most of our time out in the fields or meeting up to discuss what we are going to plant next. Our office is just a simple spot where we keep our papers and talk things through. People around here know us from the village. We aren't trying to be some big corporate office with fancy suits. Most days, we are just dressed for work, dealing with seeds, soil, and the occasional tractor breakdown. It’s a lot of physical labor and sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but that is just how it goes. We started this because we wanted a way to handle our produce better and get things done as a collective. If you come by Dhanora, you’ll probably see us around. We’ve lived here a long time and the land is what we know. There are no fancy speeches here, just a bunch of neighbors trying to make a living and keep the farm going. That is pretty much the whole story of what we do at the company.
