We go by the name Patangan Agro Shetkari Producer Company Limited. Our office is at number 279 in Upali, which is part of Borgaon Bajar in Sillod taluka. This isn't a big operation with a lot of employees. It is just a few of us farmers who pooled our resources together. We live in and around Upali and have been here for generations. Borgaon Bajar is a busy place on market days and that’s when we are usually the busiest. We use the spot at 279 to keep our stuff organized and meet up to plan for the next planting season. Farming in Sillod can be a bit of a gamble because of the weather. Some days you get exactly what you need and other days the sun just beats down on everything. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just want to farm our land and get a decent price for what we produce. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a big company philosophy. It’s just about working hard and sticking together. Most of our days are spent checking on the plants or fixing some equipment that broke down. We’re just local people doing local work.
