We are a group of folks out here in Sillod, specifically around Upli. Chitramangal Farmer Producer Company Limited isn't some big city office thing. We mostly operate out of Ravindra Shejul's place at G No. 31. It started because a bunch of us who grow crops around here realized it makes sense to work together. You know how it is with farming, it's a lot of work and sometimes you need your neighbors. We aren't trying to do anything flashy. Most days involve just checking on the fields and talking about what needs to happen next. If you come by Upli, you’ll see where we sit and figure things out. It's been a learning process for everyone involved. Some of us have been farming for years and some are newer, but we all just want to get our products out there without too much trouble. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us. Sometimes the weather is good, sometimes it isn't, but we keep going. The address is easy to find if you know the area. We’ve been part of this community for a long time and this company is just another way for us to stay connected and handle the business side of things. It’s practical work. We spend more time in the dirt than in front of a computer, which is how we like it. Just regular people doing regular work.
