Chandikamata Farmers Producer Company Limited is located at Dhanora, near the Bharadi post in Taluka Sillod. We use Pandharinath Kakade’s place as our main point of contact. This company is basically a group of neighbors who all farm for a living. We’ve all seen how hard it is to get things done when you’re on your own. So, we started this to help each other out with the bigger tasks. We look at things like buying supplies for the whole group or finding a way to sell our crops together so we don't get ignored by the big buyers. It’s all very straightforward. We don't use a lot of complicated language. If you come by Dhanora, you’ll see us just acting like the regular people we are. We might be sitting and talking about the harvest or looking over some records. It’s a community effort more than anything else. Being in Sillod, we know the local conditions well. We try to use that knowledge to make better choices about what we grow. There’s no big mission statement here. We just want to keep our farms going and make sure our kids have a future in this. It’s a lot of work, and we just take it one day at a time. We're just a small group of farmers trying to do our best.
