We are located right on B.H Road in Vidhya Nagar. You’ll see us if you’re heading towards the Durgamma Temple, which is a big landmark around here. Being on the main road means we get a lot of dust and noise from the passing buses and trucks, but it also makes it easy for people to find the shop. We trade in various goods and the stock changes depending on what’s available or what people are asking for lately. The shop is quite narrow but deep, so there is more inside than you might think from the street. We’ve got shelves lining both walls right up to the ceiling. Sometimes it’s a struggle to find a specific item if it’s tucked away in the back. The temple bells are something we hear every morning and evening, which is a nice part of working here. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s mostly family members working here, so we don't have formal rules or uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable for a long day. When it rains, we have to move the displays back from the entrance so they don't get wet. It’s a simple life of buying and selling and talking to the people who walk in. We know most of our regular customers by their first names and they often stop to chat for a bit.
