Athani Concrete

We are set up at 27/884 on the 100 Feet Road in Vinoba Nagara. It’s a very busy stretch of road and there is always some kind of building or construction happening nearby. We work with concrete, mostly making sure people have the materials they need for their various construction jobs. The yard is usually quite full of sand, stone, and finished blocks. We spend our mornings organizing the deliveries and checking the stock to see what needs to be made next. Vinoba Nagara has changed a lot since we first started here years ago. There are many more houses and shops now than there used to be. Our place isn't anything fancy to look at from the street. It’s a working yard with a lot of heavy equipment and bags of cement piled up. We don't have a receptionist or anyone to answer the phones. If you come by, you’ll likely find one of us covered in a bit of dust from the mixer. The 100 Feet Road can get really loud with all the buses and trucks passing by. We just focus on getting the concrete mixed and the orders filled for the day. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, especially during the heavy rains, but we manage. We’ve got a small shed where we take our tea breaks and lunch. It’s a basic operation but it works well for us. We've become a familiar sight for the folks here.
