Spring Field Hotel

We have been running Spring Field Hotel for a good while now. Our place is located right in Chotta Shimla, just across from the Tibetan School and fairly close to the HP Secretariat. It’s a busy little pocket of town, especially in the mornings when the school kids are arriving and the government workers are heading to their offices. Our building is an older one, so it has that lived-in feel. It’s not one of those fancy modern hotels you see in the brochures, but we keep it clean and the blankets are heavy for the cold nights. We handle everything ourselves, from the front desk to checking on the rooms. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit temperamental because of the hills, but we usually get it sorted out pretty fast. Most people find us because they have work nearby or they just want to stay somewhere that isn't right in the middle of the Mall Road noise. We spend a lot of our time just maintaining the place and talking to the guests. You can hear the sounds of the school throughout the day, which keeps things feeling lively. We don’t have a big dining hall, just a simple setup for tea and some snacks. It’s just a basic hotel for people who need a place to sleep while they are visiting Shimla. We don't do any flashy advertising; we just stay here and do our daily work.
