We’ve been up here in Kufri for some time now. Our place is called Hotel Kufri Heights and it sits right in the middle of everything in the tehsil and district of Shimla. Living here is different than being in the city because the air is thinner and it gets really cold when the snow starts falling. Most days we are just busy keeping the rooms ready and making sure the water is hot enough for everyone. It is a lot of work running a resort in the mountains. We don't have those fancy offices you see in big cities. Instead, we have the view of the hills right outside the door. Jsr Resorts Privatelimited was started to give people a spot to stay when they come up to see the sights. Sometimes the roads get blocked and things get slow, but that is just how it is in Himachal. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who stop by and helping them figure out where to go next. It’s not a big corporate setup, just us and the staff trying to keep things moving. We’ve seen the seasons change many times from this spot. If you walk down towards the main road, you see all the tourists, but back here it stays a bit quieter. We just do our bit every day and hope the weather stays good for the guests. Our address is at Vpo Kufri and we’ve been here quite a while.
