Hinton Resorts and Spa is located on the Airport Road near Tara Devi. If you know Shimla, you know Tara Devi is a bit out of the main city chaos, which is exactly why we like it. It’s quieter here, though you do hear the cars going toward the airport now and then. We have a small team that runs the place day in and day out. It’s a lot of walking up and down the property since everything in Shimla is on a tilt. We aren't one of those big, shiny corporate resorts you see in the magazines. We are just a local business trying to offer a decent place to stay. Some days we are busy fixing the heaters, and other days we are just waiting for the fog to clear so we can see the valley. We don’t have a fancy spa with expensive oils; it’s more of a simple setup where you can relax. Being on the Airport Road means we see a lot of people coming and going. We’ve been working here for a few years now, and we’ve learned how to deal with the monkeys and the mountain weather. It’s a tough job sometimes, but we like being our own bosses. We don’t bother with big ads or flashy brochures. People usually find us because they want to be near Tara Devi or they need to get to the airport early. It’s just a regular, working resort without any of the extra fuss.
