East Bourne Resort & Spa

Our spot is right near the Bishop Cotton School in the Khalini area. If you’re familiar with this part of town, you know it’s got that specific feel of the hills. East Bourne Resort & Spa sits on a bit of a slope, which is pretty common for anything around here. We have a spa and some rooms for people visiting the area. It’s not a brand-new glass building; it’s got more of a traditional look that fits in with the older parts of the neighborhood. The walk up to the school is something we see every day, and the weather can change from sunny to foggy in about ten minutes. Our staff spends a lot of time keeping the damp out because the mountain air is quite wet. We have a few fireplaces that we keep going when it gets cold, and you can usually smell the woodsmoke around the property. The rooms have what you need, nothing too flashy, just sturdy furniture and blankets. We aren't a big international chain, so things are done a bit more personally here. If a lightbulb goes out, someone from the back will come and fix it themselves. We don’t have fancy uniforms with gold buttons, just practical clothes for working in the hills. Most of the people who work here live just down the road. We just try to make sure the tea is hot and the rooms are warm when people arrive after a long drive.
