We are Anvian Resorts Private Limited, and we operate out of Thakur Cottage. You can find us in the Shanan area, which is part of the Malyana post office in Shimla Urban. Our pin code is 171006. Being in Shimla, we are used to the hills and the steep walks. Thakur Cottage is where we started everything. It’s an honest place. We aren't trying to be one of those five-star hotels you see downtown near the Mall Road. We are a bit further out, which means it’s quieter and you get more of a local feel for how we live here in Himachal Pradesh. The cottage has a few rooms that we rent out. My family lives nearby, so we are always around if someone needs a hand with their bags or a cup of tea. It’s a private limited company on paper, but in reality, it’s just us running a small lodging. The weather changes fast here, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roofs don't leak and the heaters work. We don't have a big marketing budget. We just hope people like the stay and tell their friends. It’s a simple life. We wake up early, clean the rooms, and wait for the next guests to arrive. If you want a fancy lobby, this isn't the place, but if you want a quiet room, we have that.
