We are based up in Shimla at a place called Keshav Niwas in Vikas Nagar, Kasumpti. It is a beautiful part of Himachal Pradesh, though the winters can be a real struggle with the cold and the snow. Our legal practice is right here in this house, which makes it feel very personal. The 171009 area is where we spend most of our time. Being an advocate in Shimla is different from the big cities. People take their time and things move at a certain pace. We have neighbors coming in for advice quite often. The office is cozy, which is lucky because of the weather outside. We have lots of files stacked up on the wooden tables. Most of the work involves local matters, stuff that happens right here in our community. We go down to the courts when we have to, but a lot of the time is spent right here at Keshav Niwas preparing cases. It is a quiet life for the most part. The air is fresh up here and that helps when you have to read through long legal documents all afternoon. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who know how things work around here. It’s a grounded way to practice law. We appreciate the people who trust us with their issues. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks through the door or what the weather is doing on the hills outside.
