You can find us at the Snehalatha building in Begumpet. The address is 6-3-871, right in a busy section of Hyderabad. We have a lot of stuff packed into this space. It’s filled with rugs, carvings, and all sorts of handmade items from different parts of the country. It doesn't look like a modern retail store. It’s more crowded and has that distinct smell of old wood and wool. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and arranging displays so people can actually see what’s there. Sometimes the dust gets to you, but that’s part of handling these kinds of goods. People walk in looking for something unique for their homes, and we just show them what we have on the shelves or hanging on the walls. Begumpet is a hectic area, so it’s always a bit noisy outside with the horns and the general city clamor. Inside, it’s a bit more muffled because of all the fabric and carpets soaking up the sound. We aren't trying to be a high-end gallery. We are just an exposition house that’s been around for a while. The staff knows where everything is hidden, even if it looks a bit cluttered to a stranger. It’s a practical business. We show up, open the doors, and help people find things they like. It’s a good way to spend the day, surrounded by all these textures and colors from everywhere.
