Our operations are centered at Ramanand Sharma’s house in Raghupur village. We are tucked away in the Saran district, near Bela and Sitalpur. It’s a quiet village where everyone is involved in farming. We formed this group because it’s better than working in isolation. We share our knowledge about what grows best in our soil. We aren't professionals with degrees, just farmers who have learned from our fathers. The house is where we keep our registers and meet to talk about the harvest. We deal with the local crops, mostly what people around here need. It’s a lot of manual labor and sweating in the sun. We try to help each other get better prices for the grain. The market in Saran can be tough to navigate. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just talk to the local merchants. Sometimes we buy seeds together to get a discount. It’s all very practical and grounded. Life in Raghupur revolves around the land and the weather. We hope to make things a little more stable for the families here. We just do our best with what we have. It’s an honest living, and we take it one day at a time. We don't have much to show in terms of fancy things, but we have a strong community. Everyone helps out when it is time to bring in the harvest. That is just how we do things here.
