Aroh Awarah Farmers Producer Company Limited

Aroh Awarah Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in the village and post office of Rampur, in the Khoram area of Saran. It is a typical Bihar village where the rhythm of life is set by the crops in the fields. We started this producer company because we wanted a way for the local farmers here in Saran to have more of a say in how things are done. Our office is right there in Rampur, so we are never far from the people we serve. We don't have any polished corporate mission statements or anything like that. We just know that when we work together, we can handle the challenges of farming a bit better. Whether it is getting the right seeds or finding a fair price for the harvest, we just sit down and talk it through until we find a solution. The building we use is simple and fits right in with the rest of the village. Most of the time, our boots are a bit muddy because we’ve just come from the fields. We like it that way. It keeps us honest and reminds us why we are doing this in the first place. There are plenty of days when things go wrong, like a late rain or a broken tractor, but we just deal with it. It’s part of the life we chose here in Khoram. We are just local people trying to make a go of it, working side by side with our neighbors through every season.
