If you’re ever in the Katra block, you’ll find us in the Jajuara village area. We’re centered around Prabhash Thakur’s place in Tolajajuara. Baidehi Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically a collective of local folks from the Middle Block of Katra who have been farming these lands for a long time. We finally decided to put our heads together and form this group because the old way of doing things just wasn't cutting it anymore. It’s hard to get a good price for your crops when you’re just one person selling a few bags. But when we come together as a company, people listen a bit more. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather, the soil, and what we should be planting for the next season. There’s no big hierarchy here. We’re all just farmers who know what it’s like to work from dawn till dusk. We share our tools sometimes, and we definitely share our worries. It’s a lot better than being alone in it. We care about Jajuara and the people who live here. This isn't about some big business plan. It’s just about us trying to make sure we can keep doing what we’ve always done. We aren't flashy or professional in that city way. We’re just honest people from the village who understand that we are stronger when we work as one team.
