You can find Garkha Farmers Producer Company Limited over at Manjay Kumar’s house in Kadna Tola. We are part of the Mithe Pur panchayat in the Garkha block, which is in Saran district. It’s a typical village setting where everyone knows each other. We started this company because we wanted to give the farmers here a better way to manage their produce. We don’t have a fancy office building, just a room where we keep our registers and meet up. Most of the work happens outside in the fields of Kadna Tola anyway. We deal with all sorts of farming issues, from getting the right seeds to figuring out where to sell the harvest. It’s not always smooth sailing, and we definitely make some mistakes along the way, but we are learning as we go. The people in Saran are hardworking, and we try to match that energy every day. We don’t use any complicated jargon or business talk. We just speak plainly about what needs to be done on the farm. Sometimes the neighbors drop by just to chat or ask for advice on their crops. We like it that way because it keeps us connected to the village. We are just a group of local people trying to make a living and help our community thrive through farming. It is a simple life, but we stay very occupied with the work. We are glad to be part of the Mithe Pur community.
