Anardevi Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Jaraina village in the Danpur area. We use Tejveer Singh’s place as our main point of contact, which is just a normal house in the middle of the village. Most of us have been farming our whole lives, so starting this company was just a way to organize what we were already doing. Danpur is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, especially when it comes to what is growing in the fields. We don't have any professional marketing people or a big staff. It is just a handful of local guys trying to make the most of the land we have. The village of Jaraina is quiet, but there is always something to do if you are looking for work. We deal with the usual stuff like fertilizers and figuring out where to sell the grain. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit confusing, but we manage to get through it eventually. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation; we just want the farmers here to have a bit more control over their own lives. You can usually find us sitting around under a tree or inside the village house discussing the next planting season. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We don't use any fancy language because there is no need for it when you are talking about soil and rain.
