If you come down to Shevapet, you’ll find us at S.A.V. Plaza. We’re up on the second floor, suite number 5, right on Ayyasamy Road. Working in the starch industry means there’s always a bit of a fine white powder on everything, no matter how much we sweep or dust. It’s just part of the deal when you work with these materials. The plaza is usually quite busy with different businesses, but we mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the day's production and orders. Ayyasamy Road can be a real headache with the trucks coming in and out, especially during the peak hours, but that’s Shevapet for you. It’s the heart of the trade around here. We spend our time checking on the quality and making sure the bags are weighed right before they go out. It’s physical work and it can be tiring when the weather gets humid. We have a small crew and we’ve all been together for quite some time now, so we know how each other works without having to say much. There’s no big corporate manual here, just common sense and knowing the product. We don't spend much on fancy office furniture because we’re mostly in the back or on the phone anyway. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the Sree Mangalmoorthi name stays honest in the market without needing to shout about it.
