Sree Annapoorani Dall Mills

Our place is at 11 Agraharam St in Shevapet. It’s an old part of town and the streets are quite narrow, which makes it feel very traditional. Sree Annapoorani Dall Mills has been a part of this street for a long time. You can hear the machines running if you walk past our front door. The building itself is older, with high ceilings and thick walls that stay a bit cooler than the outside air. Shevapet is always buzzing with trade, and Agraharam Street gets its fair share of that activity. We spend our days sorting and milling, making sure everything is handled properly. There isn't much room for anything else besides the equipment and the storage. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors, just a small desk where we keep our receipts and papers. Most of our neighbors are also in trade, so there is a lot of shouting and greeting going on throughout the day. We have tea together sometimes in the morning before the real heavy work starts. It’s a bit dusty, as you’d expect from a mill, but we keep things as tidy as we can. We just focus on getting the work done and getting home to our families. It’s a simple life at number 11, and we don’t really ask for much more than a productive day. We’ve seen the street change over the years, but our mill stays pretty much the same. It's just what we do here.
