Santhur Organic Mangos Farmer Producer Company Limited

It started with a few of us here in Nallappanickanur Village who just wanted to keep growing our mangos the old way. We are over at No.3/201, right by the Santhur Post area. It is not a big fancy operation or anything like that. We mostly spend our days out in the dirt, checking on the trees and making sure things are growing okay without all those harsh chemicals people use nowadays. Being a farmer producer company means we all work together to get the fruit from the trees to wherever it needs to go. Sometimes the weather is good, sometimes it is not, but that is just how farming is. We have lived in this village a long time and everyone knows each other. When it is harvest time, it gets real busy around here. We are not trying to change the world, we just want to make sure the mangos are decent and that the soil stays healthy for the next generation. Most of us grew up watching our fathers do this same work. It is hard labor, especially when the sun is beating down on the groves in the afternoon. We do not have a big office, just the space we use for packing and storing what we pick. If you come by Santhur, you will see the trees everywhere. We just keep our heads down and do the work, day in and day out, hoping for a good season each year.
