At 142, Gandhinagar, you’ll find Yazhini Agencies. It’s not a big place, just a storefront that doubles as our warehouse for all the stuff we distribute. We spend most of our time moving boxes from the back to the front and then onto the delivery scooters or small vans. It gets pretty chaotic on Monday mornings when the new stock arrives. The shelves are packed right up to the ceiling, so you have to be careful with the ladder because it’s a bit shaky. We don't have fancy computer systems for everything; we still write a lot of stuff down in big notebooks because it's just faster that way sometimes. The neighborhood is mostly residential around us, so we try not to make too much noise early in the morning, but it’s hard when you’re moving metal crates. We have a small desk near the front where we handle the cash and the receipts. It’s usually just a couple of us working here, so if one person is out sick, things get backed up pretty quickly. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. People in the area just know us and they come by when they need something specific. It’s just a local agency doing its part to keep things moving in Gandhinagar. We just focus on keeping the stock organized and getting it out the door to the people who ordered it.
